The National Capital Commission contracted Dymech to design and build a ramp and platform system to improve Universal Accessibility to the washroom trailers provided along the Rideau Canal Skate-way.

The wheel-chair friendly ramp was designed to comply with CAN/CSA B651-04 “Accessible design for the built environment”. The ramp also had the unique requirement of accommodating people wearing ice-skates or boots.

The assembly is composed of modular components that allow the structure to be disassembled and stored during the skating off season.
